A tournament of this size needs sponsorship to be able to provide a viable package for the competing teams. Many teams will be travelling to the tournament from other countries in europe and possibly even further afield, so accommodation will need to be arranged, along with travel to and from the centres, maintenance of the centres and equipment, and the provision of prizes and trophies at the end of the tournament. Efforts are underway to secure sponsorship for the ELC in 2001.
